Specification & fabric — agree contract-grade fabrics (Crib 5 as standard), foam densities and any repairs to tip-up mechanisms, frames or fixings.

Programme & phasing — most venues are refurbished overnight, between shows or in row-by-row phases so the venue can stay open.

On-site or workshop refurbishment — seats are either retrimmed in situ or removed to the workshop, stripped, re-foamed and recovered.

Reinstall, test & handover — seats are refitted, tip-up action and fixings tested, and the venue signed off with fire certificates and a maintenance schedule.

- Pricing is per seat and depends on the fabric, foam spec and whether tip-up mechanisms need repair. As a rough guide, contract retrim of a fixed auditorium seat starts around £70–£150 per seat in a standard contract velour, rising for premium fabrics, foam replacement or mechanism repairs. We provide itemised quotes for the full seat count.
- How long does a venue refurbishment take?
- Small halls can be turned around in a weekend; a full cinema or theatre is typically phased over 1–4 weeks, working overnight or between performances so the venue keeps trading.
- Do the fabrics meet fire regulations?
- Yes. All fabrics are contract-grade and certified to Crib 5 (BS 5852) as standard, with documentation supplied for your fire risk assessment. Higher specs are available for stadiums and public buildings.
- Can you work around our opening hours?
- Yes — most theatre, cinema and stadium projects are carried out overnight or during dark days. We schedule phased row-by-row work so the venue can remain open to the public.
- Do you cover schools, churches and community halls?
- Yes. We regularly refurbish bench bleachers in school sports halls, retractable seating in community centres, and pew or auditorium seating in churches — with the same contract-grade fabrics and fire certification.
- Do you offer ongoing maintenance contracts?
- Yes. Many venues take out a rolling maintenance contract so a set number of seats are refurbished each year, keeping the auditorium looking sharp without ever closing.
